Slot auction

Eleven orbits in Galaxy Fusion can carry a brand. Rather than price them from a rate card nobody can check, they go to auction: the highest bid holds the slot for a month, then it opens again.

00 — State

Not open

This is a design, not a running auction. No bids are accepted, no money can change hands, and no slot is held by anyone. The tax registration and the advertising-law work are not finished, and until they are, running this would be doing it wrong. The mechanism is published now so it can be read and argued with before it decides anything.
01 — How it works

Four phases, then it starts again

  1. OpenBidding runs for seven days. The highest bid at the close wins. A bid in the last ten minutes pushes the close ten minutes out, so the slot goes to whoever wants it most, not to whoever has the fastest clock.
  2. ReviewThe winner sends artwork. It is looked at by a person before it reaches a single player — forty-eight hours. Nothing goes into the game unreviewed.
  3. HeldThe mark is in the game for thirty days. During the term nobody can outbid it; a slot that changed hands mid-month would be worth less to everyone.
  4. ReopensAt the end of the term the slot goes back to auction. It opens at half the price it last cleared at, never below the floor.
02 — The board

Eleven slots

Every slot carries the same floor. That is deliberate: a floor is not a valuation, and the slots are worth very different amounts — the largest covers seventy-one times the area of the smallest. Guessing eleven different reserves would be guessing eleven times. The auction is there to do that work.

Each card shows what the slot actually is, measured on a reference phone, next to what it costs.

Payment is due on winning, before review. If the artwork is refused and nothing acceptable arrives inside the window, the money goes back and the slot reopens.

04 — One open question

Reopening at half price walks the price down

Half of the last clearing price is a good opening when two people want the slot: it starts low, they bid, it finds its level. With one interested bidder it does something else. Nobody bids against them, so the slot clears at whatever it opened at — and the next opening is half of that.

Three cycles to the floor, and it stays there. Over a year that slot earns about thirty-six rather than the hundred and twenty its first month suggested.

The alternative, kept here because it is the honest comparison: reopen at the full last price and take ten per cent off for every day it goes unsold. A slot worth six finds six in about five days instead of collapsing to three. It is slower to clear and it never under-sells. Which of the two ships is not decided.

05 — What can be refused

Winning the bid is not the same as being accepted

Artwork is reviewed by a person and can be refused. Money is returned in full when it is. No reason has to be given, but in practice it will be one of these.

Anything a child should not see

The game has players under thirteen. Sponsored orbits are shown to adults only, but the standard for what may enter the game at all is stricter than that.

Gambling, alcohol, tobacco, weapons

Category refusals, not judgements about the company.

Anything that imitates the game

A mark that looks like a button, a warning, a reward or a system message. The mark sits in the orbit and does not pretend to be part of the interface.

Political and religious campaigning

Not a position on the content. A merge game is not the place.

Codes and reachable links

No QR codes, no URLs meant to be typed in, no phone numbers. The mark is not clickable and it is not a route out of the game.

Illegible at the size it will be drawn

Every slot has a stated logo canvas. A mark that turns to mush at that size is refused for the buyer's sake as much as the player's.

06 — Not settled

What has to be finished first

Listing these is the reason the auction is not running rather than an apology for it.

  • Tax registrationSelling advertising is commercial income in Türkiye. The registration, the invoicing and the withholding all have to exist before the first lira arrives.
  • Advertising disclosure in the gameTurkish law requires a paid mark to be identifiable as advertising where it is shown. The game does not do that yet.
  • The age gate on the themeSponsored orbits are for adults. The theme that carries them is currently open to everyone, including players under thirteen.
  • A way to take moneyNot chosen. It has to work for a sole trader in Türkiye and for a company paying from abroad.
  • The reopening ruleHalf price or a daily decay. See above — it is a real difference, not a detail.

If you would want a slot when this opens, an email now is worth more than one later: playgalaxyfusion@gmail.com. Nothing is owed either way.
